Unknown to many webmasters that own forums, BB code stands for Bulletin Board code and it is used to lets say make a part of a text bold or italics. On this blog, it’s all html so no BB Code is being used here. There are many types of bb codes around that lets you put urls and images and even youtube videos into your post. There really is endless possiblities on what you can do with BB Codes.

If you have a vbulletin forum, you should be able to use custom bb codes to let your users do more around the forum. With a custom bb code, lets say you can link to ebay items with just posting the number of the auction along with the ebay BB Codes around the number. It can be that easy. Right now I am in the process of learning how I can make my own set of custom bb codes for my forum, Perhaps make it a lot more fun for them.
