Google had the brilliant idea of letting everyone create their own branch of search engines under google in a beta custom search project. So far they have gotten many users to login and form their own search engine. This is good for google because it is under google and they are just getting more traffic. You can click this to and look at an example of Collins College Search engine. It is basically the same except that you use the database to search within the college site.

I do have a few sites and I have surfed a bit through that from the example of Collins College given above. I will probably try to make one of my own and see how that goes. So far I haven’t found a good working search engine script to run on my own so this is where Google comes in to help out the little guys in need, which is us of course. This also makes it easier for the site user to navigate and search through a bit. If you are going to create your own, good luck, I still have to think about if I should make my own
