If you haven’t already heard of the Michael Vick story, the Atlanta Falcon’s Quarterback, he has been sentenced to 23 months in prison. If you don’t already know the story, Vick was convicted of running a Pit Bull fighting ring and also killing pit bulls which got him the 23 months in prison. It was more than any one has expected including the prosecutor.

Now the issue with whether the NFL will allow him to play after his return from prison. He is hoping to get out of prison in 18 months which is the summer of 2009 for good behavior. If you ask me, his sentence should have been much longer. He was a role model for many youngsters and now all their dreams of becoming just lick Vick are shattered. It really is sad to see a person and NFL star of his status abuse the money he makes from his fans to fund something so brutal.
