If you own a vBulletin forum and you are having trouble with your database, you should know how to check and repair the tables. vBulletin also gives you the option to optimize the tables meaning fix any code that can harm other tables or codes that just doesn’t make any sense. Just follow these steps and just repair and optimize your table. Please note that you have to be a Super Administrator of the vBulletin board in order to have access to do this.

1. Login to your vB board (obvious)
2. Login to your admin cp (also obvious) usually looks like yoursite.com/vb/admincp
3. Look on the right side panel, you should see a long list of drop down buttons.
4. Look all the way at the bottom, you should see one called “MAINTENANCE” - Click it to expan.
5. Second option should say “Repair/Optimize Tables” - Just click that.
6. On the main panel you should see See the Table Name, Data Length, Index Length, Overhead, and a check box.
7. Check the table that is giving you issues and if you want to just run it all over, click Check all
8. Scroll down to OPTIONS, check YES for optimize and repair tables and click continue.
9. Voila, finito!

That’s all there is too it, you may repeat the process as many times as you feel. I run this option about once a week to keep everything clean, maybe you should do the same. Good luck!
