IE Eats My Memory
Internet Explorer also known as IE for short eats my memory like a crazy and hungry program. By memory I don’t my my memory in my brain but my Page File memory in my computer which is determined by the RAM I have in the motherboard. It really is crazy. When IE is running, it uses nearly the amount of memory I’d typically use with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Firefox combined.
Yesterday I decided to stop using IE and move onto firefox. Just note that I have only noticed this in Internet Explorer 7. I haven’t gotten the chance to test it in IE6 but feel free to see for your self. Press ctrl+Alt+Del then click performance and look at your PF usage BEFORE you run IE and then After you run IE - just look at the difference. I Highly Doubt it’s just me. So if you experience your computer slowing up and lagging and you are using IE, try using FF and see how it goes.
