If you use cPanel as your control panel with your host, you should be aware of the backup system cpanel has within the system. It allows you to download the full backup of all the data in that host account in a single file. Later on your host owner will be able to restore everything without a problem. That is a pretty sweet feature if you ask me.

Even though that’s a sweet feature, I don’t use it because only the real host and the person that controls the server can restore it. You cannot. I would rather download the whole home directory into my computer and download all the MySQL Databases individually. In my opinion, that’s much smarter since you don’t have to rely on someone else. Later on I will post a little tutorial on how you can download the whole home directory in cpanel.
