I’ve been taking daily blog backups of all my blogs and I’ve been doing so for the past year or so. I opened my first blog over a year ago and I still have it. If you own blogs and you don’t have something that is taking automatic backups for you, I highly recommend that you do it manually.

Download just the mySQL database backup everyday. The directory backup can be done just once or even once a month if you wish. I usually download a directory backup once every 2-3 months since I don’t change it around too much but the database backup comes everyday. This ensures me that I will not lose any data.
