Laptop Slow Down

I am currently on my laptop that my college gave me last summer. It was on the first week of August that I got this laptop. It was free and it WAS great at first. It turned on in about 30 seconds total and all the programs started up extremely fast.

But now less than a year later. This computer takes about 5 minutes to load which is extremely long for any computer. And now programs take up at least another minute to load up at any time of the day.

This is a Lenovo laptop which is an IBM company and so far it has disappointed me in more ways than one.
