Last week I transferred a domain from Moniker services to GoDaddy services. Both are two of the largest top level domain registrars in the world and I was happy to have been with moniker for a year but I had to move out. It was a .net domain although Don’t expect me to tell you the domain name itself.

A year ago, I bought the domain from moniker for $5.49 for the WHOLE YEAR. It was a great deal especially for a .net domain since there aren’t that cheap elsewhere. I would have stayed with Moniker but I had to pay $7 at godaddy because of what Moniker has done. Moniker’s price for a .net went from $5.49 a year to $10.49 a year which is nearly double the price. So It was just a good buy for me and I still have other domains with moniker but unlikely I’ll keep them to renew them.
