Metal Structures

A few hundred years ago people would have used bricks or even Clay to make their houses, buildings, and other structures. Back then the structures wouldn’t be very high, probably two or even three stories max. Unless it was a castle, it was built primarily with clay and small bricks because it was cheap. But now in modern times you will see structures rising not just hundreds, but thousands of feet, the Empire State Building and the Sears Tower are just two examples. These are all Metal Buildings and the metal used here make them all very well built and very strong steel buildings. Steel is mostly man made where adding more ingredients to the metal makes it much stronger and much more likely to keep on standing for centuries to come.

Metal Structures these days are very common. I am actually living in one right now. It has a brick casing on the outside but inside is full of metal bars and columns just holding the building up and keeping it straight. It has been here for over 15 years now and so far it is still standing. Metal has come a long way and it has innovated the way we build buildings.
